Mrs. Jordan Dauphin

Welcome to Advanced TV Broadcasting!

I'm so excited to continue my fourth year of teaching at Satellite Center, where I was a ATVB Team Member in 2013. It's always been a dream of mine to guide others, whether it's to pursue their passions or learn a new skill. I'm excited to see the joy this field brings out of Team Members.

A large part of this class involves shooting/editing video and live streaming events throughout the school district, which makes up Press Play Productions. It's a student-lead, student-run video production company. They work on sporting events, musical performances and other events. Plus, the great part is that they get paid to do it all! Feel free to check out our videos on presstheplay.tv.

Before becoming the Advanced Television Broadcasting Facilitator, I was a news producer at WDSU in New Orleans for more than two years. I've worked on different shows; creating content, styling camera shots and taking control throughout the newscast. I'm definitely a firm believer of team effort and that every role has value in a project. I've also worked as a news producer at KATC in Lafayette for two years. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. During that time, I was also the President and Founder of the Broadcast Education Association at the university.

At the Satellite Center, we use the learning management system called ECHO. All assignments are placed in ECHO not Google Classroom. To access Echo: click here.
